Design Story

The central figure sits with chin resting on folded hands, knees drawn up, crowned by a red cap with a pearl-white brim. Everything is rendered in a dense mosaic of tiny faceted dots, so the surface reads as texture before it reads as image. Black negative space carries the weight; crimson and warm gold ribbons sweep diagonally behind the figure, guiding the eye upward toward the lid. Small satellite motifs — a spotted pup in a matching cap, a wrapped parcel, a snowflake, a bow — orbit the base without competing for attention. Restraint is in the palette, not the detail.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette, the figure anchors the front-facing focal panel while the ribbon work wraps the vertical proportion, so the design resolves from any angle. A sculpted figure at the lid extends the composition upward; the handle repeats the red and black rhythm, keeping carry presence cohesive rather than busy.
